About

History:
Kateland’s original residence was constructed for the Englishman Cecil May, who immigrated from India.
The property was originally an orchard, servicing Tasmania’s blossoming apple industry. In the 1970s the property was purchased for residential purposes, and no longer served as an active farm. The property was purchased in 2004 by the Habner family, with extensive renovations undertaken of the primary residence and broader property, including restoration of the large private lake located in the southern region of the farm.
